Wrestling Headlocks Prep, State Titles

The Saints Wrestling team had a strong season with a solid finishing performance at the state and national Preparatory League tournaments. Towards the early parts of the season, they won the Chapel Hill Tournament in North Carolina and took second at the Trojan Wars tournament with Walker Turley ’26 and Team Captain Mitchell Faglioni ’24, tying the school's highest finish. The team hosted the Richmond Wrestling Club New Year’s Duals tournament with highly competitive teams from across the country. The squad had three All-American placements from Turley, Tyler Hood ’25, and Faglioni at the Escape The Rock tournament with Turley who took 3rd. Wrestling ended their season with a strong push, as Prep League champions for the 22nd year consecutively, state champions for the 3rd year consecutively, and landing a tenth-place finish at the national prep tournament with four All-Americans and three wrestlers who made it to the semi-finals. Turley placed third, Hood andFaglioni both placed fourth and Drew Rogie ’26 took seventh place. Faglioni says he’s very excited to see what next year has in store for us.
